Dental bridge
A dental bridge is used to replace one or more teeth by resting on neighbouring teeth, usually using a crown.
It can be metal, ceramic-metal or all-ceramic.

The treatment
During an initial session, the dentist prepares the tooth to be replaced by either devitalising it or not, depending on the clinical situation. An impression is taken so that the bridge can be made. A temporary prosthesis is fitted.
The bridge is tried on and then fixed during the second session.
Dental implants are gradually replacing bridges because they avoid mutilating neighbouring teeth. What's more, chewing remains unchanged because the pressure is exerted on the implants and not on the prepared neighbouring teeth.
