Adjoining prosthesis

An adjunctive prosthesis is a removable prosthesis, total or partial, which replaces one or more teeth. It can be removed and replaced at will for cleaning and brushing.

The partial prosthesis is supported by the gums and existing teeth using clasps. A total denture rests on the gums to replace all the teeth in the jaw.
jaw.

A dental impression is taken beforehand to enable the custom-made prosthesis to be made. A temporary prosthesis is fitted before the final prosthesis is fitted.

This solution restores masticatory function, but is not as aesthetic or comfortable as a dental implant. However, when the budget does not allow it, the fitting of an adjunctive prosthesis is an alternative.
