Dental veneers
Dental veneers can be used to change the shape, size and colour of teeth. This technique has the advantage of requiring less preparation (milling) of living teeth and is particularly recommended for aesthetic requirements. They are made of ceramic for optimum aesthetic results.
A recent technique, pellicular dental veneers, can correct aesthetic imperfections in your smile with minimal preparation.
They offer optimal cosmetic quality and have proven resistance.
These veneers are bonded to the visible surface of your teeth.
With a thickness of 0.2 to 0.3 millimetres, pellicular veneers are the thinnest on the market. This means they can be fitted even on the lower arch.
The Élysées Ponthieu Dental Clinic works with the best craftsmen in France to create your dental veneers.

Dental bleaching
Cosmetic dentistry has made extraordinary progress in whitening.
It allows a natural shade to be achieved without causing any undesirable effects.
Teeth whitening removes discolouration from the enamel and dentine using a hydrogen peroxide gel.
Our dental surgeons will work with you to achieve a result that matches your face.
The treatment
An oral check-up to ensure that there are no contraindications (cavities, weak enamel, gum irritation, etc.) and scaling are carried out before any whitening treatment.
The treatment can be carried out at the clinic (chairside whitening) or at your home (outpatient whitening).
Chairside dental brightening
It is carried out in 1 or 2 sessions lasting 30 to 90 minutes, during which the practitioner applies a lightening gel to your teeth. The gums are first protected with a cream. Then the lightening process is activated using a ZOOM lamp.
Ambulatory brightening
Based on an impression, the dentist will make trays that fit your teeth and give them to you, together with a lightening gel (in a lower dose than that used in the surgery). You must then wear these gel-coated trays for 30 to 60 minutes a day for around 15 days.
The two techniques are often combined for best results.
The tint can be maintained for 2 to 5 years as long as good oral and dental hygiene is observed and the consumption of coloured drinks (coffee, tea, red wine) is limited.
Responsible factors
Tooth discolouration can be hereditary (natural discolouration or ageing) or linked to medication taken as a child. The consumption of tobacco and colouring drinks such as tea, coffee and red wine is also a factor.
Advice
Avoid drinking coloured drinks and wash your mouth immediately afterwards.
Slight temporary sensitivity may occur and last 48 hours after treatment: use a fluoride toothpaste to reduce the effects.
